Marvel at its exceptional stained glass windows, one of the most complete and best-preserved ensembles from medieval times, as well as its early French Renaissance choir tower. These gems are to be discovered in this exceptional setting of Gothic architecture that is Notre-Dame Cathedral. The restoration work carried out for several years and still in progress, has given the building an incredible luminosity.

The attic

Take to the heights and admire its large attic. You will discover a huge space that covers the entire nave, vertiginous and graphic. The visit offered by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux is really worth the climb of the few hundred steps of the north tower!

The crypt

Its crypt, meanwhile, offers a more mysterious and spiritual approach to the place. During the day, you can access it by joining a guided tour that will take you on a discovery of the largest underground church from medieval times. Visiting it, by candlelight, after dark, is really unmissable.

The gates

The complete tour of the north, south and royal portals will allow you to admire the marvelous work of the master tailors and sculptors on the column statues, the eardrums, the capitals and the arches that adorn this veritable stone bible.
