A canoe-kayak trip in Chartres or a paddleboard
Do you want to discover the surroundings in an original way? Sail with the Chartres Canoë-kayak team. Book a canoe-kayak in Chartres or Maintenon for 1 hour and discover the Eure independently. All the equipment is provided and the meeting point in Chartres is a stone’s throw from the campsite. In July and August, we invite you to make your reservation online directly from the Chartres Tourist Office ticket office. Outside the summer months, we invite you to contact them by email for more information. Stand-up paddle rides are also available by reservation.
Rental prices without booking :
- In Chartres for 1 hour independently in a two-seater canoe: €8.50/adult and €6.50/child under 12 (meeting point: Bas Bourgs stadium, along the Eure)
- À Maintenon pour 1h en autonomie dans un canoë biplace : 8,50€/adulte et 6,50€/enfant de moins de 12 ans (point de rdv : Maingournois, rue Gaston Rogemont)
A sail with pedalo
For those who would like to sail without too much effort, opt for the pedalo. Rental at Petite Venise – Guinguette de Chartres 15 min walk from the campsite, you can rent your boat which can accommodate 2 to 4 people and thus share a convivial moment on the Eure before raising your glass to the holidays on their terrace at the water’s edge.

On the way to water skiing or wakeboarding
For the most motivated among you, the Terres de Chartres and surroundings have several nautical bases offering ski lift, wakeboard and kneeboard services such as the Cercle Nautique de Beauce in Saint-Georges-sur-Eure (15 min by car from the campsite) or the Téléski Nautique 28 in Fontaine-Simon (about 40 min by car from the campsite). Take the opportunity to try out various board sports! It is possible to book your sessions at the Nautical Ski Lift 28, directly on the ticket office of the Chartres Tourist Office.
